How to set up a device

To set up a device, open the  Yango Play app, tap the device, and change the settings:

  • Change the device name. It will be used in voice commands.

  • If your device is a switch or smart socket with a lighting device connected to it, change the device type to Lighting. After that, you'll be able to control the device using the smart light bulbs on and off commands, as well as add it to the group of lighting fixtures.

  • Select the home and room where the device is. That way, it's easier to find it in the list of smart home components in the  Yango Play app.

  • Add the device to a device group. Groups come in handy when you need to manage multiple devices of the same type at the same time.
