Configure adult content filtering

Yasmina can account for age restrictions when playing content. To set this up, turn on the Understand children option. Yasmina can tell if the voice addressing her sounds like an adult or a child so she gives an appropriate response.

For example, if an adult owner of the smart speaker asks to turn on music, Yasmina will play their personal radio, while she'll play songs for children if a small child asks the same.

Children's requests don't affect the recommendations for adults. When you're on your way to work, Yasmina won't play what your child listened to all day unless you ask.

Note

Yasmina considers voices up to 10-12 years old as belonging to children.

How to enable the Understand children option

  1. In the Smart home with Yasmina section of the  Yango Play app, go to   Settings.

  2. Tap Virtual assistant and enable the Understand children option.

You can change the settings so Yasmina strictly filters adult content or doesn't block it at all:

  1. In the Smart home with Yasmina section of the  Yango Play app, go to   Settings.

  2. Tap Virtual assistant → Set up content restrictions.

  3. Select filter modes for adult and child voices:

    Adult voice

    Select the filter type:

    • For small children — Yasmina only plays content that's approved for children. “Adult” content is unavailable even if Yasmina gets an explicit request for it.
    • Kids — Yasmina plays all non-adult content. “Adult” content is unavailable even if Yasmina gets an explicit request for it.
    • Moderate — Adult content is excluded from search results if there's no explicit request to find it. Yasmina plays only adult content if she gets a specific artist, song, or movie request.
    • No restrictions — Yasmina plays everything that matches the request, including adult content.
    Child voice

    Select the filter type:

    • For small children — Yasmina only plays content that's approved for children. “Adult” content is unavailable even if Yasmina gets an explicit request for it.
    • Kids — Yasmina plays all non-adult content. “Adult” content is unavailable even if Yasmina gets an explicit request for it.

    By default, a child voice turns on the Kids mode unless the For small children mode is selected in Yasmina's settings.

    Kids, Moderate, and For small children modes are quite reliable in excluding unwanted content from search results. Still, they can sometimes fail or make mistakes. If you encounter errors, please contact support.
