Save Wi-Fi settings on Yasmina

If you often travel with your speaker (for example, to the countryside) and don't want to reconnect it to the network every time, you can save your Wi-Fi settings and enable automatic connection. The speaker will automatically connect to the internet when it comes within range of a known network.

Remember Wi-Fi network

You can save network settings when you connect the speaker for the first time or set it up again.

To do this, when connecting to a Wi-Fi network in the {height=20px} Yango Play app, select Remember this network on the network settings screen.

Set up automatic connection to a Wi-Fi network

To allow or restrict automatic connection to a Wi-Fi network, Yasmina must be connected to the internet. If the speaker is offline, the app won't be able to transfer the settings to the device.

During initial activation and setup

When connecting to a Wi-Fi network in the {height=20px} Yango Play app, select Allow auto-connection on the network settings screen.

In the saved network settings

  1. Open the Smart home with Yasmina section of the  Yango Play app and go to the settings of the speaker that you need.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi networks and select the network.

  3. Enable the Allow auto-connection option.

If the speaker loses its internet connection, it will automatically connect to an allowed Wi-Fi network. If multiple networks are available, Yasmina will connect to the one with the best signal. The preferred frequency is 5 GHz.

If you no longer want Yasmina to automatically connect to any network, such as when you want to save internet traffic, disable automatic connection.

Yasmina says the connection is lost

If there are no familiar Wi-Fi networks nearby, the speaker will completely disconnect from the internet. To connect to a new network, set up the speaker again.

Switch to a different Wi-Fi network

  1. Open the Smart home with Yasmina section of the  Yango Play app and go to the settings of the speaker that you need.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to switch to.

Forget a saved Wi-Fi network

  1. Open the Smart home with Yasmina section of the  Yango Play app and go to the settings of the speaker that you need.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Select the network you want to forget and tap Forget this network.
