Initial activation and setup

  1. Connect the smart speaker to a power outlet using the power adaptor.

  2. Wait for Yasmina to greet you.

  3. Open  Yango Play mobile app and log in.

  4. Scroll to Smart home with Yasmina section and tap Quick Setup button.

  5. Add the new speaker and follow the prompts.

What should I do if the banner doesn't appear in the app?

Connect the speaker manually.

  1. Open the  Yango Play app, tap  → Device with Yasmina in the top right corner, and select the speaker you want to connect.

  2. Follow the in-app instructions and Yasmina's tips.

How do I share Wi-Fi from a mobile device?

  1. First, turn on a regular Wi-Fi network on your phone.

  2. On the Wi-Fi selection screen of the  Yango Play app, tap Connect to a hidden network.

  3. Turn on the hotspot in your phone's settings. Make sure the Wi-Fi network name doesn't contain spaces or special characters. To change the name, go to Settings → Network & internet → Hotspot & tethering → Wi-Fi hotspot → Hotspot name

  4. In the  Yango Play app, enter the Wi-Fi name and password.

  5. Follow the instructions in the app.

Where in the room should I put the speaker?

Note that the speaker's location in the room can greatly impact the sound. Try different spots to find acoustics you like. We recommend putting the speaker at least 20-30 cm away from the wall.
