Yasmina reports a speaker problem or remains silent

 

What does Yasmina say?

"Some error has occurred"
  1. Please restart your router by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. Then restart Yasmina.

  2. Check Yasmina's connection to mobile Wi-Fi.

    Android
    1. First, turn on a regular Wi-Fi network on your phone.

    2. Turn on the hotspot in your phone's settings.

    3. Make sure the Wi-Fi network name doesn't contain Arabic letters, spaces, or special characters. To change it, go to Settings → Network & Internet → Hotspot & Tethering → Wi‑Fi Hotspot → Access Point Name (APN).

    4. On the Wi-Fi selection screen of the  Yango Play app, tap Connect to a hidden network. Enter the hotspot name and password. Follow the instructions in the app.

    iOS
    1. Turn on the personal hotspot in your phone settings.

    2. Make sure the Wi-Fi network name doesn't contain Arabic letters, spaces, or special characters. To change it, go to Settings → Common use → About → Name.

    3. On the Wi-Fi selection screen of the  Yango Play app, tap Connect to a hidden network. Enter the hotspot name and password. Follow the instructions in the app.

  3. Is it connected to the internet now?

    Yes

    To resolve this issue, please contact your internet service provider. There might be a problem on their end.

    Your provider should do the following:

    • Make sure the LAN and WAN ports on your router are working correctly and not blocking Yasmina.

    • Review your router's firewall and parental control settings. Temporarily turn off any restrictions or firewalls.

    • Confirm that your network can connect to Yango servers.

    No
    1. Reset Yasmina to factory settings.

    2. If you're still having trouble, please contact support. Please include your device ID in your support request. You can find it in the  Yango Play app (in the speaker settings) or on the bottom of the device. In the request, please confirm that you've tried connecting to mobile internet.

"Failed to connect to the Wi-Fi network"
  1. Please restart your router by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. Then restart Yasmina.

  2. Check Yasmina's connection to mobile Wi-Fi.

"Sorry, I didn't hear that well. Can you play the sound again?"
  1. Set the smartphone volume at level 5–6.

  2. Place the smartphone speaker closer to the top panel of the speaker, but don't press it tightly.

  3. Press the button Start over and try connecting it to Wi-Fi again. Make sure you enter the correct network name and password.

  4. If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks at home, select the network you want to connect Yasmina to on your phone and repeat the setup.

  5. If you connect Yasmina Max using an Ethernet cable, make sure that the cable is working properly and the plug is securely connected to the port. After that, repeat the setup.

"No user account"

There's most likely no account linked to Yasmina (for example, if you unlinked your account and didn't link another one). To make Yasmina work, you need to configure it.

"No Internet connection"

"The tape got jammed"
  1. Yasmina needs a stable Wi-Fi connection to work properly. Put your phone next to Yasmina and see what network level it shows. If you get less than half of the bars, move Yasmina closer to the router.

  2. Reconfigure the internet connection.

"There is no Internet access on the Wi-Fi network. Check your internet connection and start setup again"

If the Wi-Fi network requires additional authorization (such as in a hotel), your device probably won't be able to connect. Use your phone as a Wi‑Fi hotspot:

  1. Restart the router by disconnecting it from the power supply, waiting ten seconds, and plugging it back in.
  2. Restart Yasmina.
  3. Reset your speaker to the factory settings.

Yasmina is silent

If Yasmina is silent and you see the message «Failed to connect device via Bluetooth» or «Failed to configure the device» on your phone, try the following:

  1. Make sure that the speaker is in Wi-Fi setup mode: the light indicator should blink blue (on Yasmina Max, Mini, and Lite) or white (on Yasmina Midi).

  2. Bring the smartphone closer to the speaker and try connecting it again.

  3. If you still couldn't set up the speaker, try another connection method: tap Connect in a different way or Start over and follow the instructions.

    Alert

    Don't share video or audio recordings of your speaker connecting to Wi-Fi. The sound contains an encrypted version of your Wi-Fi password.
