Playback on the speaker isn't synced with the Yango Play or Yango Play Music app
If playback syncing with the Yango Play or Yango Play Music app isn't working, make sure the following conditions are met:
You are the owner of the speaker
Smart home guests can't synchronize the music on the speaker with the Yango Play and Yango Play Music apps, even if the speaker is displayed in the Smart home with Yasmina section in the Yango Play app.
You have the latest version of the Yango Play or Yango Play Music app installed
Playback control is available in the Yango Play and Yango Play Music apps for iOS (version 1.70 or later). If you have an older version of the app installed, update it.
The feature is unavailable in the Yango Play and Yango Play Music apps for Android.
The speaker and the Yango Play or Yango Play Music app are linked to the same account
- Log in to your account in the
Yango Play app.
- If you're using the Yango Play Music app, log in to it with the same account.
- Make sure the speaker is linked to this account.
The speakers and the phone are connected to the same LAN
The speakers must be connected to the same router or any other network configuration with a common LAN.
The routers need to have a common local namespace. If the speaker and the phone are connected to routers with different NAT configurations (each router creates its own namespace), synchronization won't work.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on
Make sure that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on the phone. Without these connections, synchronization won't work.
The app is allowed to search for devices in the local network
The router settings should allow searching for devices in the local network.
For iOS, also make sure that device search in the local network is allowed in the phone settings:
- Go to the phone settings.
- Select the app you're using for syncing: Yango Play or Yango Play Music.
- Enable access to the local network.
The router is set up correctly
Check the following router settings:
- Multicast is available. This parameter is usually enabled by default. It's required for the speaker and phone that may be at different frequencies (for example, 2.4 and 5 GHz) to work together.
- The client isolation option, which prevents the speaker and the phone from exchanging data, is disabled.
There are no connection problems
The local network quality may be affected by an outdated router, poor firmware, or interference (something blocking the network) between the speaker and the router. You can check your network quality using free apps for Android or iOS.
If the problem persists, contact support.
